Apologies if this has been mentioned before.
I am looking for suggestions for 40 foot or longer charging cord for my 2014 FFE so I can connect to my dryer outlet (240v 30amp).
I looked online and only see long 240v cords but with a higher amperage and I don’t want to fry my outlet.

Any suggestions?

So I guess there is a misunderstanding. The amperage rating of a power cord is the maximum current it can handle. It is not the amount of current the cable will draw.
So I use these things to charge my FFE from a dryer outlet:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09PH41WF9 This adapter plugs into the dryer outlet.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/VEVOR-RV-Extension-Cord-36-30-Amp-RV-Power-Cord-AWG10-30-amp-rv-Extension-Motorhome-Camper-Trailer-Power-Supply-Cable/409148614 This extension cord goes from the adapter to a Tesla UMC charger.
https://www.amazon.com/Lectron-Tesla-Charger-J1772-Adapter/dp/B07V7V2QT8 This adapter attaches to the UMC and plugs into the FFE.

Of course I do not have to use the UMC and the lectron adapter, I could use my Avironment wall charger, but to do so would require a plug and a short run of cable. Will eventually get around to that.
Thanks Heima—I want to make sure I got it correctly.
So, I need the Nema 14-30 to 14-50 adapter first for the dryer outlet.
Then, I need the extension cord? You posted a few and then mentioned Tesla so I got confused..

Can’t I use something like this:

PRIMECOM Level 2 EV Charger 220/240V, 16A, 30ft & 50ft, Portable EVSE Electric Vehicle Charging Cable Compatible with Bolt Volt Leaf BMW i3 Fiat 500e Clarity NIRO Prius (30 Feet, 14-30P) https://a.co/d/0fEpNa0

This charger cord looks like it would connect to my Nema 14-30 dryer outlet and if I get the 50 foot option that is definitely long enough and then connect to my FFE car port.

Or am I missing something…sorry just wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Thank you for your help!
Sorry, I did not mean to confuse you. I like having a selection of components, so that I can adapt my charging to the given situation. I have the Long extension cord, so that I can run power from upstairs to the garage downstairs. That extension can also be used at RV campsites. I have the Tesla to J1772 adapter so that when I am charging in the wild, I can use Tesla chargers, like at hotels and restaurants. I have a Tesla UMC because I got it for free, and the different plug adapters are only $40. So that gives flexibility for the two dryer type plugs, other RV campground plugs and simple 110v. Some people don't like dragging a lot of stuff around, and I can understand.

Like Anti_Climax said, the one you linked to is only 16 amps, so you will get about 3.6 KWh charging.
If it doesn't have to be 50 feet long, you could get this one :
Which would give you 7.2kWh charging.

If you want compact, but still 240V and 16A charging, you could use this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/325346588791 Yes, it is that tiny. For 240V operation, it has a NEMA 6-20 adapter.

Whatever you choose, bear in mind that there is not much to a charger or EVSE. If you were to open one up, you would feel like you got ripped off. Really, the price of the charger is in the cable, and the connector. That is why you see such a price difference between the 30 foot and 50 foot charger you linked to.
