Sadly it seems like they are going to have to change the security on the forum to stop this. It is beyond me to understand why somebody would do this stupid spamming. What do they gain? Other than some recognition that they can build a script to do this all automatically. Nobody is ever clicking through to anything they have to offer.
The Tesla forum used to be plagued with spam like this. They changed the log in procedure and the spam stopped completely. The site has an automatic log off after about 6 hours (even if you were busy doing something). When you wanted back into the forum, just hit the log in screen and you were back. The change was to actually log you out of the complete site - you went back to the base homepage. Then had to log back in, which took you to a page that couldn't access the forums. Then when you navigated to the forum access, the link opened a new tab. The layers were just enough to stop all spam.
