Sadly, many "muricans" believe (notice I didn't say think) that electric cars use massive amounts of coal. They also believe that electric cars are twice as polluting as the good ol' gasoline-powered pick-ups (that God intended them to drive).
But, if there is one place where Americans pay attention, it's their wallet. At some point, the superior economies of owning and driving an electric car will win out (and in a huge way). Only the stupid, stubborn, or rich will pay for the luxury of using gasoline.
