The LA Auto Show is open to the public next week, but of interest to many will be the Keynote speech tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov 15) morning at 8:10PT by Mark Fields, Ford President & CEO.

I've noticed in the past couple weeks that a lot of the dealerships are now showing up in recent (<1 month) web searches for "2017 Ford Focus Electric" with boilerplate on the pages (e.g., http://www.winegardford.com/showroom/2017/Ford/Focus+Electric/Hatchback.htm) which specs the 34KWH battery pack. And the price.

Not expecting much from him as he is a major gearhead and not really "into" EVs (remember the "environmentalist" on Ford's staff is the Chairman of the Board--and the guy with his name on the building, not the CEO).

I would expect Mr. Fields to go in depth on their current "mobility" push and, maybe, drop a BEV line or two just to keep us satisfied (but not promising anything).

Especially now that the regulations will likely take a huge left turn with the new administration going in.

Yup, so far nothing. His speech is online, and the only vehicle mentioned therein is the EcoSport.

Eh, it was worth speculating on... We can wait until next week to see if the '17 FFE is on the floor at LA.
