Just purchased the ice storm FFE today.

New member to the electric car club. Very excited! Now need to determine the best way to get the level 2 charger installed. Any suggestions in the San Diego area? I am a mechanical engineer so I might do much of the work myself, but leave the upgrades to the main box to an electrician.

Did you lease or buy? Just got one myself from Mossy 3 days ago.

Hire a local electrician to run 240V to a 50 amp socket convenient to where you want the charger i.e. on the wall near where the charge port of the car will be.

Buy a plug in charger that will deliver 32 amps and mount it so it can plug into the 240 volt socket.

I bought a GE Wattstation from Lowes for $999 it works fine.

It is best if you get the charger first so electrician can be sure to put the 240V socket in the best location.

I bought mine. And yes I just purchased a Schneider charger from Home Depot. I will mount the charger and probably install the outlet j box so the electrician only needs to run the wire to it.
