It's a 1902 Studebaker electric car. Well maybe not the first, but I thought he said that it was the third Studebaker ever built and the only one left.
his place is amazing in Jerome AZ. Don Robertson owns the place and he's just collected old cars over the years. He built and races a 1928 Studebaker and it's awesome.
Here's a video of him starting it for us. http://youtu.be/weKoEwqz2Zg

If your ever in AZ, you gotta go to Jerome and check out his place.
Here's a link to some of his old cars. http://s795.photobucket.com/user/kendungey/library/Don%20Robertsons%20Gold%20King%20Ghost%20Town%20Jerome%20AZ

This just continues to prove that electric has not been a desire to produce for the masses. If a 40mi range car was produced back then there should be no excuses or obstacles to surpass that today. I have seen electric cars from the past on Chasing Classic Car episodes and have been surprised at how "normal" these cars looked in comparison to today's offered models. This is a dismantling and restructuring of an industry with deep roots in profits. Change is a good thing and I am happy to be a part of that change with all of you.
