Almost never: the brakes aren't even listed in the maintenance section of the owners manual.
The vast majority of the time you're using regen braking which doesn't use the pads. The only time the pads come into play is the last few feet before you come to a complete stop (unless you are doing something to force the car to use the pads--like driving in neutral).
