Just to make it even more interesting, when I changed it back to km, it went back and started counting from zero again. I think this feature is broken on my car! I wonder what system will need to be rebooted/replaced to get this to work?

I just tried switching to miles and it displays 99mi regen. Is there anything to try to get this unstuck or should I take it back to the dealer yet again. I love the car, but it does have some interesting little quirks.
