    I stopped by the dealer and asked them about this. They said if the door opens then Ford considers that it works. Since my door opens there's no problem. I will be interested in see if it "springs" back to life when the weather warms up.

    Thanks, both, for the replies. I will contact the dealer to ask about this. I don't like the design of this door, the design gets in the way of the utility.

    Frozen charging door

    The frost melted from the door but it was still stuck, but later the left side of the car sat directly facing the sun and then it finally released itself. Apparently moisture got behind the door and froze it shut from the inside. I guess I'll try harder to keep the car in the garage.

    Things new onwer should know?

    There isn't a tips section, just read through all the posts. I'm not sure what the dealer does when they go through the car with you, my dealer didn't do it with me. They suggested I could schedule it, but it seemed to be on me to make it happen and I wasn't THAT interested.
