Is Ford supposed to give you a loaner while your car is in for warranty repair?

    Stop Safely Now Warning

I think it has already been stated by someone else, but the problem is that any issue with the drive-train gets reported in the same way. Battery, connector, relay, whatever, it becomes an SSN; and unfortunately, it isn't easy to diagnose on your own. I do need to look into one of the OBDII...

    Stop Safely Now Warning

Got SSN for the fist time in our 2013 FFE w 60k miles. First time Tuesday night on startup at full charge. Shutting off once and re starting removed the SSN message and the car drove normally. Wednesday morning (again on startup) the wrench and SSN came up for the second time (at about 65% SOC...

charge time still remaining at 100% charge

Ford just came back with an answer: The two computers may be out of sync. The dealer received a repair instruction for this. Will bring it back to the dealer to have it repaired if the problem persists

Is it best to run car to a low mileage before re-charging

Yes, high SOC seems to be worse. Especially if ambient temp is high. Acc to battery university article they started to see massive degradation at 40 deg C. It is understandable then why a LEAF battery regularly lost 25% capacity when parked in hot climates. Does anybody know what the active and...

charge time still remaining at 100% charge

If you have time to look again, please let me know how much charge time you have left at full now. I picked up my car last night after the second time at the dealer. They replicated the problem and are awaiting answer from Dearborn regarding how to treat the issue before possibly taking it back...

Is it best to run car to a low mileage before re-charging

Battery university has great information on this topic: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries The conclusion is that bringing the battery down to low SOC before charging shortens its life. High SOC shortens life too. Longest life is achieved with the...

charge time still remaining at 100% charge

it has stayed steady at 0.4 h (240V) and 2.5 h (110V) both times that I let it sit on full charge for a couple of hours. How long do you think I need to keep it like that before it finishes balancing and/or I see thesis remaining times decrease?

charge time still remaining at 100% charge

Thanks for these thoughts. The dealer (offleaseonly) did nothing with the car/computer. Even the original lessees phone connection as well as lifetime energy stats were still there. The only thing done to the car was that someone stole the the SD card on the dealer lot. I also figured...

charge time still remaining at 100% charge

I just bought a used 2013 FFE with 45000 miles. Noticed that at 100% charge, the big display shows 0.4 h left to charge at 240V and 2.5 h left to care at 120V. It also affects the go times, meaning that it completes the charge before I need it. I charge at 120V for now and the light on the cable...
