    CCS upgrade for older Focus

If CCS gets set up, it should work normally. It's effectively implementing the factory equipment on the older vehicle. Haven't been able to move forward on it. Some worthwhile info though - the main harness doesn't differ. It's difficult to tell from the pictures Ford has, but it's the same...

Exhaustive quantitative Power and Energy values at speed

It's only meant to catalog the energy requirements versus speed. There's a view that shows climate, accessory, wh/mi and range/SoC on a single screen. That might give some clues. The battery heater doesn't kick on unless the coolant going into the battery is at or below 40F - and it's unlikely...

New owner question about displayed range and real world range.

EtE is Energy-to-empty. It's the value of actual energy the vehicle can pull from the battery before it's discharged. They might run to "0%" charge but they are not dealing with the actual cell SoC. When your battery is fully charged, the actual pack is at 95.0% SoC. When it's at zero, the pack...

New owner question about displayed range and real world range.

It's easy enough to figure your energy capacity using the trip meter, assuming you can't just pull EtE with Forscan. The EPA estimate of 117 miles would be against 29kwh EtE on a new pack, which worked out to ~250Wh/mi. After my pack swap, I could manage that range on a round trip at ~65mph...

Pretty much. Prediction algorithm is a pretty lofty term for it. Feels quite a bit like an old windows download dialog.

supercharging for fords but not the focus electric

"Compliance cars aren't real cars" -Ford, apparently

New owner question about displayed range and real world range.

Has that been quantified? I've been considering a long term log of distance and power power use versus the estimate to try and nail down the actual formula. But if someone has already confirmed that, no real need.

Coolant Change. Use forscan to get the air out?

Considering the engine RPM control and the thermostat action, it seems doubtful this would be used on the FFE.

New owner question about displayed range and real world range.

Round trip from and back to my house, so the same elevation gained and lost in total. Just good old hypermiling.

If you ramp up just pump A do you hear it running?

    2017 ford f150 XLT

You're likely to get a way more useful answer on a general Ford forum or and F-150 forum. We all have cars that got moved to Ford Pass from an entirely different system and it doesn't even work right for most of us.

Is the factory charging cable rainproof?

J1772 plugs are designed for use in the rain. The body of the EVSE should also be rain tight if it hasn't been compromised in some way. The replacement version they swapped for has a full gasket on the case and should be just fine.

New owner question about displayed range and real world range.

It will show yellow any time the estimate is 10 miles or less. When it reaches zero it has a 1kwh emergency reserve which is good for a few more miles. It also goes into a "turtle" mode where the peak power output is capped. You can still get up to a decent speed but the acceleration will be...

Any 3G to 4G modem upgrade kits still available?

If it works with the Ford Pass app it's been upgraded.

New owner question about displayed range and real world range.

The left most screen can be cycled through multiple views that are very helpful. I run with gauges for accessory and climate, the watt hour/mile gauge and the SoC/GoM all visible simultaneously.

P0A0A - High Voltage System Interlock Circuit 'A' in PCM module

Yeah, with new compressors running $2700, I'd take a $50 solder blob on a low voltage loop any day.

    Free adapter?

In all likelihood they want to make an adapter that only works with Ford vehicles, which means they need to communicate separate from whatever the charger side is doing. If they didn't implement that with the Focus BEV in mind, it's really easy to paint yourself into a corner. It's shitty, just...
