    Wifi in car

I joined the thread today because I could not connect to my wifi at home. I did in the past, though as most said, Why? Consider this: you are in a rare situation where either you are allowed a limited number of connections, or you want to do in car networking of items - it will use one wifi as...

When is the 12 volt battery being charged?

Hey all: Took the FFE into the dealer today, and they replaced the battery no problem. I have the service advisor looking into what the proper float charge should be when plugged into 120 or 240v. It has to be higher than 12.66v. When the car is on, the DC to DC converter is putting 14.65v on...

A little concerned about 120V charging now

I have 20k miles and no less than a third of that time has been 120v charging. No issues with 120v. The reality is 5 miles per hr on 120v versus about 20 per hour on 240v. For a 40 mile one way trip I need just under 2 hrs 240v, or 10 hrs 120v. If you are having problems get it serviced...

12v drain when leaving L2 EVSE plugged in??

Just reading all of the posts on battery issues on the FFE, along with my failing battery, I am of the opinion that: 1. The battery in service on the FFE and the Hybrids is suspect; 2. The trickle charge when plugged in is suspect (mine is only reaching 12.66v which is low for 12v charging), the...

When is the 12 volt battery being charged?

My 2012 FFE went into service just about 11 months ago and is now 20,000 miles experienced... I have had a low battery warning a couple of times, but nothing tell tale. This weekend the BXT 67r 390 is clearly a dead player. It was suspect that it could recover relatively quickly from a 12v...

    charges to 57 miles only

For what it's worth, I have been wondering about the useable battery capacity myself. I suspect there is a considerable amount left in reserve... Normal one way commute is 40 miles. The other day I had a longer commute to avoid evening rush hour traffic - lots of uphill which the range really...

    Which Charger

I have the Clipper Creek CS-40 which is the same as the models out in the wild. Just seems solid as a rock. I cannot be happier with my charger. Looking to add a 2.8 kwhr portable cord for my work side charging which will give me 100% charge both ways.
