    Stop Safely Now Warning

Got another SSN. I have been driving it okay for about a month since my wife got stuck in the middle of the freeway during rush hour traffic. Dealer updated software, reflashed some modules and test drove it a couple of times. Seemed okay. She hasn't driven it since except to the grocery store...

    Stop Safely Now Warning

After 2.5 years and almost 20,000 miles, we got the dreaded SSNW. My wife was driving home on the freeway (half charge, nothing unusual), stop and go traffic, middle lane, was stopped and traffic started moving. She pressed on the go pedal and nothing happened. There was the SSNW light. She put...

    Value Charging not working

I turned on Value Charging for my home charger and it stills charges as soon as I plug it in when I get home. I set up a profile through the website for my charger (Clipper Creek LCS-25), turned on Value Charging both on the website through the MyFord mobile app, and it still immediately starts...

    12 volt battery dead

I forwarded this to the service dept. We'll see if they actually take your advice and check that. I'll keep you posted. Thanks mate.

Ford backs away from its own electric car.

I think the FFE is a much better driving car than the Leaf as well as much more aesthetically pleasing. Ford should work harder at promoting the car. I certainly have. I got one of my coworkers into an FFE and working on another. The cheap Leaf is just that, a cheap Leaf, and you will pay for...

Has anyone successfully gotten a lease?

There's definitely leases available. Got a lease three months ago from Downtown Ford in Sacramento, Calif. $2,500 down which was rebated by the State, and $250 per month. Don't know how you'd get it shipped though. Good luck

    12 volt battery dead

I love my FFE, when it's working. In the three months I have had the FFE, it has been to the dealer three times, all for the same problem; dead 12 volt battery. The car will be doing just great, and then, when I start the car, I'll first get an inquiry on the left hand display asking if the car...

Looking to buy spare Level 1 charger - would this work?

Clipper Creek also has a level 1 charger but they want $595 for it, so I guess the Ford charger is an okay deal

What are you using for a charging station?

I installed the Clipper Creek LCS-25 that is working GREAT. It's outdoor rated and I have a metal holster attached to the side of the garage that the plug rests in. I got the whole thing for $715 delivered, spent $250 getting it permitted and installed.

    charges to 57 miles only

The same thing happened to me on the first drive home. The next day, on a full charge it said I had a range of 63, and the next 71 miles. It seems that as an initial estimate, until the car gets to know your driving style, it defaults to a low number and then revises up as it figures out how you...
