Cargo capacity - get over it

I get very passionate in discussion (not to be confused with emotional), so it can seem abrasive. I do my very best to dismantle any argument, and I tend to be pretty aggressive about it. I can definitely see how it can rub people the wrong way, especially in a written format. I assure you that...

    FFE vs Fiat 500e

Edited to add #13. You can't turn it off, one of the things I really don't like about it. I had briefly considered finding the speaker that plays the sound and disconnecting it, but then I realized I didn't care that much.

Cargo capacity - get over it

Oh, going for the personal attacks, now? Is that easier for you than a response to the discussion? You should check out this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies. That's where you'll find the red herring I talked about earlier and the ad hominem you've bought yourself into just...

Anyone driving in L for extended periods seeing better range

Gotcha. I feel like this is similar to the 100% regen actually meaning ~60% regen. That's good to know, too, thanks for the explanation. In my Fusion, while smooth in transition, it was still pretty obvious when the friction brakes took over. With the FFE, I have been having a harder time...

Anyone driving in L for extended periods seeing better range

I believe you, it's just weird for them to say maximum motor braking when there is more motor braking available by using the brake pedal, that would lead me to believe that it isn't the maximum. I don't get why they say it is the maximum if it isn't.

The manual says "maximum motor braking" for L. Is that different?

Cargo capacity - get over it

What does the entry and exit of passengers have to do with what we are talking about? Nice red herring... The point of me bringing up the Fiat (even though I have already said it), was that it is a smaller car and it still has a flat surface from trunk to seats, so why couldn't that layout been...

Anyone driving in L for extended periods seeing better range

Yes, but L automatically uses maximum regeneration. When you use the brake, you may also be able to achieve maximum regeneration, but there is a delay (lifting gas --> pushing brake) as well as getting into the friction brakes if you don't need/want to. When I'm driving in L, all I have to do is...

Cargo capacity - get over it

Sure. I guess people whining about other people whining always strikes a nerve with me. It's a small car combined with new and bulky technology, so I just signed it off as part of the sacrifice of having an electric car. However, it would have been really nice if the battery was at the same...

Good for you. Just because it works for you doesn't mean it couldn't be improved upon.

    Blink charging rate change...

A $1.00 an hour isn't free, that's what I said they used to cost. They haven't been free as long as I've had an electric car. I don't mind paying to charge, I mind paying more than it costs to drive a gas car to charge. I don't expect it to be the only way to charge my car, but these people...

    Blink charging rate change...

It used to cost $1.00 an hour, and most of the ChargePoint ones still cost that, which is closer to what I pay to charge at home. Why the hell would I drive a car that can only go 80 miles and costs more per mile than one with a 500+ mile range? Are people ok with this?

    Blink charging rate change...

I went to charge the Focus at Fashion Valley mall in San Diego today, and got a little surprise. Firstly, the charger didn't work, which seems to be a common issue around here. Secondly, they now charge per kwH to the tune of $0.49. What the flying f***?! That's the cost of electricity for me at...

    FFE vs Fiat 500e

Hey all, In another thread where I posted pictures of my FFE, Hybridbear asked about differences that I've noticed between the FFE and the Fiat 500e, which I've had for a year now. I figured I'd post it here in a more relevant section, with a few more additions now that I've gotten to drive the...
