2012 Civic beats out Ford Focus Electric

The winner of the contest was selected by a panel of environmental and automotive experts. The Honda Civic is the only assembly line produced natural gas powered vehicle available in the U.S. Natural Gas is available domestically and is about 30 percent cheaper than gasoline. The Civic boasts 38 MPG and the cleanest running internal combustion engine that has been certified by EPA.

Currently, re-fueling a natural gas vehicle is as complicated, and perhaps even more complicated than finding a charging station for the 2012 Ford Focus Electric.
