I haven't inquired at the dealer yet. I'm assuming what Ford calls the "workshop manual" is the factory service manual? Is the only place to get these at a dealer and how much are they?

You can get a subscription to them online..search the forums this has been discussed.

If you really want to get adventurous you can get the Ford IDS software:

Their is no aftermarket service manual for Ford Focus Electric at this time. Some one would publish a manual if sales clime to a high enouph level. Ford does publish it's own service manuals.

Pretty sure you just purchase it on line. There is no paper manual.
There are plenty of Focus service manuals available on eBay. (They appear to be copies of the online manual put to DVD.) But there isn't enough interest to even sell these sketchy copies for the Electric.

So the "workshop manual" referred to in the freely available modifiers and the owners manuals I've seen online is simply another PDF that you have to order online somewhere?

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/ I have found this website but cannot locate the referenced "workshop manual" there. I'm beginning to think this manual doesn't exist or Ford is not making it available to anyone but their dealer's service departments.
