Now that ford has shown us they know how to make a reliable and fun to drive EV. They need to make a larger one (Escape, Explorer or Crown Victoria). I think most people would be willing to pay Tesla type pricing for such a car.
Ideal Car/truck/crossover
F-150 Crew Cab or Explorer/Escape
AWD (two FFE drive trains)
125 mile range (60-75 KWh battery ?)
I also think a loaded full Sized sedan (Bring back the crown Vic !) with approx 65-75 KWh of storage would give Tesla a run for it's money.
I think as a fleet vehicle (Taxi / Police car) it would be popular with the lower energy and maintenance cost.
Hell, since this is a fantasy that will never come true.. make it AWD also.
To improve the FFE ?
better heater (the AC is excellent)
an extra 50 miles of range
I have driven several electric vehicles and think ford has nailed the day to day experience. Yes, it's better than a Tesla except for the range/performance & supercharger ability (LOL) :lol:
and to really break into the mainstream we need a super "soccer mom" vehicle.
