Re: new battery for Ford focus electric for 55 kWh

ivankovff, I don't but it looks like Hemia has what you are looking for. I have a 23 kWh 2014 FFE and if or when my battery dies, my FFE will be a project car that I try to build my own battery. My biggest problem will be that I have I have zero experience with CANbus and don't know electronically w...

Re: new battery for Ford focus electric for 55 kWh

I'd love to help but I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm handy with electronics but don't know how any of the module programming works.

Re: care for older battery

Not to be a Debbie downer but I hope you didn't pay much for it. You are out of warranty and if your battery has a problem it is a throwaway car. FYI the most common failure method is cells swelling which results in coolant connections in the battery being pulled apart and flooding the battery with ...

Re: C1014-07 Brake error - problem solved.

yeah but it is rage worthy when your metric flare wrench set does not have a 9mm size

I have since rectified this bough a 3 wrench set on amazon that had a 9mm. I didn't want to pull a bleeder just to figure out what the threads were and have to bleed the caliper again.

Re: C1014-07 Brake error - problem solved.

I figure next spring after 9 winters in the rust belt I will finally replace my rotors and pads. I scrubbed off a good mm or two of brake pad trying to get the rust cleared from the rotors so I have a decent enough contact patch to use the friction brakes when needed. I am a little annoyed that the ...

C1014-07 Brake error - problem solved.

After putting in neutral and doing some aggressive 70 mph stops on the friction brakes attempting to scrub the rust off my rotors, I started getting a brake warning light when shifting to neutral while rolling. Then it would come and go before being a constant problem. Error was C1014-07-68 which as...

Re: Global window open / close from key fob

I don't think it was ever offered. At least not in the USA. IIRC it is enabled by editing the asbuilts with FoCCCus. Once enabled, when you press and hold the lock button the car will lock and after a small delay all the windows will go up. To open the windows with your fob, press unlock and then pr...

Re: Coolant Change. Use forscan to get the air out?

Heima, Thanks for taking the time to post this with steps. I had gotten as far as your step 13 but couldn't figure out how to change any of the settings. I did a drain and fill on the radiator twice to serve as my "10 year - 150k mile coolant change even though I am just shy of 8 years in and l...
