Re: 2017 FFE - Looking for Trailer Hitch

Tell you all what - I'm interested in getting a hitch for my 2012. I can post some pics of the underside for others to compare to the 2015 and beyond. If it looks like nothing of consequence changed and the same hitch will fit, someone pick it up and try it on their newer model. If it doesn't fit, I...

Re: Power Steering Problem

Not even necessarily needing to push the pedal further. There's a about a second between hitting the button and the car switching to ready. If you lift your foot or shift out of park before the switch, it won't complete. I also used to try to get going to quickly and I'd run into the same thing as w...

Re: 2017 FFE - Looking for Trailer Hitch

Not sure what the difference is for fitting a hitch from 2015 on, but this one should actually be designed for the electric and not the gas version https://torkliftcentral.com/catalog/product/view/_ignore_category/1/id/1181/s/2012-2014-ford-focus-electric-ecohitch/ I will say that the larger battery...

Re: FFE 2013 now at dealer for 7 weeks for battery tests

Many of the HV battery issues start as a generic wrench alert. The manual just says to take it to the dealer if it persists. Mine decided on day 3 that it would no longer let me drive it, giving "stop now safely" in my driveway. They had to pull the pack and go through all the diagnostics for Ford. ...

Re: Final step to pair to My Ford Mobile

Have you reset the car side to defaults? After sync is cleared out it would either need to be paired up to an existing account or it should be able to set up with a new one.

Re: Better 12V battery option?

Apologies, it's float voltage, not nominal. Float varies between gel (13.05V), flooded (13.4V) and AGM (13.6V) but it also varies by temperature. It's not much between flooded and AGM but it's enough for my car to complain. Strangely, the car doesn't post a DTC other than "I didn't start because som...

Re: Lateral Link Rear - Sound over bumps.

I had a similar issue because the dealer didn't properly reassemble the suspension after replacing other stuff, they definitely didn't need to take out any of the pack.

I'd say pass that to Ford - here's hoping someone gives a shit.

Re: Better 12V battery option?

I'd have to double check, but I think my car pitches a fit when the AGM hits 12.5V (nominal for flooded lead acid being 13.8V). Maybe not that exact voltage but not nearly as low as I'd expect. If yours goes that low and the car doesn't complain, something had to have been changed. If you ever figur...

Re: Better 12V battery option?

There is a 12V BMS that has separate settings for flooded lead acid, AGM, etc as they each have slightly different charge characteristics, giving slightly different voltages when fully charged. They've had to reset it each time they've replaced my 12V battery. Folks that put optimas in can run into ...
