Re: REMOVE SPEED LIMITER

Long before we routinely had electric cars, the railway industry started using motors to move trains in diesel-electric locomotives. They used a diesel prime mover to generate electricity used to operate the traction motors. It was found that motors have speed range that they can safely operate at. ...

Re: Oil Change Required Alert in FordPass

Sometime today (03-Feb-2023), the Oil Change Required alert disappeared from FordPass.

It was still being displayed this morning, but by 5 pm it was gone. We'll see if it ever returns again. Now if I can only get the OTA update to fix value charging and go times.

Re: Lifting Points

So I am wanting to rotate the tires, and am trying to determine good lifting points. Yes, I know of the triangles on the rocker panels that indicate the lifting points. But those rocker panels were intentionally made for the ICE vehicle. Also, when you look in the service manual, they indicate the ...

I just got this alert about a week ago, and I can't find a way to dismiss or delete it. I wrote about it in the "Oil Change Required Alert in FordPass" thread.

Re: Oil Change Required Alert in FordPass

Are you sure it isn't an ICE car? Just kidding. My car is 2012 and no longer connected to the system; but in my sync version, I could go to a menu that would send a vehicle health report and then see it online. Perhaps if you still have that option, then perhaps that would clear the issue. Just a t...

Oil Change Required Alert in FordPass

A couple of days ago, FordPass had a vehicle alert appear for my FFE saying that an oil change is required. After having a bit of a laugh, I thought I could go into it in the app and dismiss or delete it. No such option! In the Alert Details, the "What is Happening" says, "You have ex...

Re: Auto door handle sensor not working

I see this behavior cyclicly in the winter. Doesn't get crazy cold in AZ but there seems to be a correlation between lower outdoor temps and the door lock sensors not reliably triggering with proximity. I think you're on to something, because they've been working flawlessly in the 20's-30's. I had ...

Re: AT&T sunset and MyFordMobile app

Perhaps they are rolling it out selectively, but I would expect that they should know by now that it is either working or not. I sent a message to Ford Canada Customer Service about this (and an issue about the navigation maps) on December 1 and their response on December 5 about this was simply: We...

Re: AT&T sunset and MyFordMobile app

I had to reset my value charge times, no biggie at all. So I set them to my early morning times and drove home. I ended up needing to charge anyway, so I plugged the car in after pulling into the garage. And........the car didn't immediately start charging!!! Progress!!!! What do you mean by having...

Re: AT&T sunset and MyFordMobile app

Is anyone else getting a bug where when you manually refresh the home page of the Fordpass app, it acts like you just remote-started your car from the app and shows the shutting-off timer at the top of the screen? Thankfully it doesn't actually start the car, but still. I've just notice this happen...
