Re: Dead 12V battery then traction control freaks out

There might be a firmware update to this problem, or maybe this corrects a bad flash from the factory, not for certain: SSM 47198 Some 2013-2017 Fusion Energi, 2012-2017 Focus Electric and 2013-2017 C-MAX Energi vehicles equipped with a TCU built on or before 11-Oct-2017 may exhibit a discharged bat...

Re: Device found under steering wheel in new to me FFE

Hmm, the picture is not visible. But.... I found a vehicle tracking device under the dash of my 2017 FFE. A bit unsettling, but I believe it was a fleet tracking device, not specific to the individual driver, me. I removed it, and tossed it into the garbage. I tried to find out who had contracted it...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

Please do. And if you can provide and DTC codes, either from the dealer, or from Engineering Test Mode (See http://www.myfocuselectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4991), that would be helpful. I have a hard time believing that the entire battery is dead. I am thinking like for hybrids, one or two ...

Re: Battery Replacement

I am glad that got sorted out for you relatively painlessly. I am astounded that they could get the batteries out, receive the replacements, and install them, in two weeks. Maybe with the production of the Mach E, Ford has built up a proper electric vehicle service infrastructure. Heres hoping you g...

Re: New to me 2017 FFE getting ~70 miles per charge

As an aside, lately it seems that people are buying FFEs that appear to have degraded batteries. Fortunately they are able to return them during a trial period. But this makes me think, how many people are buying and returning the same vehicle? I think it was Onlybimmers got a bad one, returned it, ...

Re: New to me 2017 FFE getting ~70 miles per charge

I use the windows version of forscan, so I don't know about the Android version. In the windows version, I can request the Estimated Battery Capacity, then divide that by the current State of Charge, which will give me the estimated total capacity of the battery. Currently, my 2017 is showing 28.125...

Re: WHEEL SPACERS?

I would not recommend wheel spacers, unless your wheels necessitate them. If you want a wider stance, just get wider tires and accommodating wheels.

Re: Black wheels

I am not one for black wheels. My eyes are such that I lose them to the tire, they blend together. Though a dark grey looks good. I am not knocking the 4wheelonline website, but at tirerack.com you can see what the wheels look like on the vehicle. I am sure that tirerack sells similar, if not the sa...

Re: Power Steering Problem

I have done this many times myself. If you do not press hard enough on the brake pedal, when powering on the vehicle, it will not "start".. If you shift into reverse or drive, the vehicle will just roll a little, without power steering. This happens because I do things so fast, I might get them out ...
