Re: Ford C-Max test drive

Looking forward to hearing about the energi. My dealer called yesterday to say that they are getting one in next week. Lots more discussions on other forums including photos and the latest test drives on the plug-in Energi ... my local Ford dealer also had one in stock and took a test drive as well...

C-Max Ford Partner X-pricing

I did some checking into the availability of X-pricing on both the C-Max Hybrid and Energi and while I thought the Energi would not be included (as the FFE wasn't) it shows up now -- of course the $1,000 incentive isn't offered (yet) on the Energi but is on the Hybrid so a Hybrid SE base would net o...

Ford C-Max test drive

Was surprised not to see more discussion on this forum about the Ford C-Max but as the plug-in version still isn't out yet that perhaps why ... Well, I got to test drive what they have now (hybrid version) yesterday and came away fairly impressed. This dealer had 7 in stock, mostly SE's but drove a ...

Re: Anyone with insight on when available in Arizona?

have to commit to a 2-year Volt Lease, since Ford just couldn't get off its behind in time. It is not just the engineering and shake-out period in which GM and Nissan and Mitsubishi are ahead. It is also in financing. Those three seem to have realized that with the 7500 credit, the leasing company ...

Re: Anyone with insight on when available in Arizona?

I spoke to a Tucson dealer the other day that is slated to receive the vehicle, but wasn't able to get any sort of details. Side note: I am really frustrated and angry with Ford. The FFE looks good, but the Volt and Leaf have been out for nearly two years now, and have worked the kinks out and Ford...

Re: Finally have mine!

Deposit made May 05, final payment made last Monday, Aug 06, and delivered to my local dealer today. Maybe the first one sold in Western Canada. (?) Slyastro beat me to the first in Canada, so I have to brag where I can. Frosted Glass. Leather. Robin Sipe. Congrats ... not many being reported in th...

Re: What are you using for a charging station?

... The Leaf has had some issues ... To clarify, the main EVSE unit that gave the LEAF problems was the GE Wattstation; Nissan and GE are working on the issue and GE says it was the on board charger on the LEAF that has a problem (remember, even with the FFE the 'charger' is in the car, the EVSE un...

Re: Ford Focus Electric sales numbers

Ford priced the FFE too high. I do not know what they were thinking. The fully loaded titanium model has invoice of 24K. Ford saved at least 4K by replacing the gas drive train (engine + control + 6 speed trans) with a simple motor + 1 speed. Add to this battery at $500/Kwh and the invoice should b...

Re: Electric Car Tax Credit troubles

This is an old thread but thought I would add something as we've had lots of discussions on the other EV forums, Nissan LEAF in my case ... the bottom line is that the majority of all of these EV's aren't cheap to buy, have somewhat limited range and the majority of driver's out there have no idea w...
