Re: 2012 Bleeding Brakes and Coolant Flush?

Ditto above. Do not change the brake fluid. Hydraulic fluid in a sealed system does not "wear out." The coolant recommended change is 10 years or 150,000 miles. That one you may be closing in on. And I've seen some recommendations to go with the new orange fluid, but I'd get the dealer's b...

Re: SSN Fix: DIY Upper HV Pack Heat Exchanger (Cooling Plate) Removal

And would you even know you had an overheating situation with no coolant running through the pack? I'm assuming that a coolant sensor is how the temperature is measured.

FFE/Sync Software Versions

I think my 2013 FFE has the wrong software in it. Pictures of other cars and the owner's manual show a leaf option along with these three which accesses a bunch of screens I don't have. Am I the only FFE like this?

It looks like there are You Tube videos available. http://www.russellrjames.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/brake-light-s...

Re: Car not starting with brake

Press on the brake pedal and see if the brake lights in the tail light up. If not, the switch that tells the car that the pedal is depressed is not working. You should hope it is that easy fix. And never discount disconnecting the battery for a minute or so and then reconnecting. That reboot of the ...

Re: Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

Okay, new problem. Once the car turns on and the power is on, the main battery is charging the 12V and the meter reads over 14. The goal was to see what the voltage was before the car starts. Looks like I may have to tap into the cigar lighter/powerpoint fuse and have the thing glow for ten minutes ...

Re: Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

That voltmeter in the lighter is what I have now. I just wanted something that would shut off when the car shut off. I don't get why the cigarette lighter would be engineered to stay on for fifteen minutes.
