Re: Used FFE Thoughts

As a previous FFE owner....I'm not sure I'd buy a used FFE. Ford is not supporting these vehicles at all any more, as they have shifted to the MachE and the F-150 Lightning. You'll get marginal service while under warranty, and no service when the warranty expires. I loved my FFE. It proved to me th...

Re: Mobile aplication will not work in februar :-(

I traded my FFE in 3 1/2 years ago when I bought a Tesla Model 3. However, I never uninstalled the Ford Mobile App from my phone, and this morning, I got the same message. I found it interesting that Ford referred to this capability as a "complimentary trial" that was included with the car...

Re: WHEEL SPACERS?

Some people do it for looks only........without even considering what it does to driveability, tire wear, braking, safety, etc.

Re: Battery Cooling PSA

Interesting fact about driving at WOT and battery degradation. When I had my 2015, I would often find that I would be on the speed limiter, else I would get run over in the carpool lane (obviously when there was no traffic, which was quite frequent when driving in to work in the morning early). When...

Re: "Key Not Detected" can strand you, Solution Here

Don't forget that if your 12v battery is dead, you can't open the hatch. You'll have to access by folding down the rear seat, then reaching over and getting your charger out of the compartment. Might be quite a reach, made worse if you've got a bunch of stuff in the trunk. When I had my FFE, I carri...

Re: FFE is gone

I changed for a variety of reasons. First, I was concerned about long-term support for the FFE from Ford. Second, the trade-in was so good. Third, my carpool lane sticker was going to expire. And fourth, I wanted a Tesla. When I bought my Tesla, the $7500 federal tax credit still applied, so that he...

Re: 2017 FFE DC Charging issue

So I know a lot of these cars went to Jordan (that's where mine went when I traded it in), and there is a Ford Focus Electric Club over there that I hear is pretty active. Wonder if they could perhaps steer you to a solution? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://b...

Re: Joined the 100,000 mile club yesterday!

Congrats on making 100K!! My original plan was to keep my FFE for the long haul, but then started having problems getting recharged at work (I couldn't do the round-trip to work on a single charge, so had to charge at work). This problem had nothing to do with the car, it was because of the populari...

Re: Five years, 70k miles

If my FFE had 120+ miles of range, I don't think I would have gotten rid of it for a Tesla, instead have used the money to buy a play toy (used C7 Corvette, used Boxster/Cayman, new Miata). But, really loving the Tesla!!
