Re: Buying my lease

Hi AAFEV, I had some issues, yes. I leased a 2013 for 3 years, and it had an SSN that turned out to be wiring harness related (think this is a common cause). Apparently some of the contacts had slipped or were corroded or something, can't remember the details exactly, but it was fixed and then I did...

Buying my lease

Just got the ball rolling to purchase my 2018 FFE, the lease of which is scheduled to end in a couple months. Total outlay <$20k, (lease payments, lease-end purchase price, fees, taxes, etc.), and hope to make it last until my daughter can use it to get to high school in 10 years... wish me luck! In...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

Bummer! Just so I understand, can you clarify what you mean by "deemed dead"? Is the pack not functional, or has it just degraded a certain amount... and if the latter, how much? Same questions for your wife's pack when it "died". Sorry to say I don't know anything about 3rd part...

Re: Will there be anything electric in the US from Ford in 2

Hey, I'd love an I-Pace, already built about 10 different versions of it! Price probably a bit too steep for me next year though. I am expecting to go Bolt myself at that time, but was wondering if there would be any option at all to stick with Ford...

Will there be anything electric in the US from Ford in 2019?

A few threads have addressed pieces of this, but unless I'm mistaken, there isn't one thread that tackles this question directly. My (second) FFE lease runs out in 6/19, but it sounds like the FFE will miss the 2019 model year completely (at best), and I'm wondering if there will be anything Ford fo...

Re: Cleaner Cars from Cradle to Grave

Isn't the UCS the same as the IPCC group that was caught faking data with the climategate scandal? If so then they have about as much credibility as a facebook meme. Not having done any of the calculations or research myself, I do suspect they are correct but I don't have much faith in their number...

Re: Is Ford going to sitck with the EV or not?

Wow. Sounds awesome... for clarification, is this entirely speculation? You give a number of specifics that suggest you work for Ford or know someone who does or something. Either that, or you're really good at making a guess sound official! In any case, I suspect that you are right that EVs are the...

Re: Wanted to post a poll

I'm also very satisfied... dcast, your point is generally applicable of course, but it seems strange to make it when only three people had responded and they all indicated satisfaction! Granted, the OP sounds generally negative, but all responses so far sound generally positive, even given SSN issue...

Exact same answers as jmueller, though I haven't gotten a coworker to lease one yet... working on it.

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

Just had my second SSN yesterday at ~2400 miles. Just driving down the road going about 40mph... no thunk, no breaking, no turning, no nuthin, just cut out. Coasted to the side, did the open/close door thing a bunch of times and 7 or 8 minutes later was driving again. This is so obviously a software...
