Re: The cooling problems continue

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, that's what I was talking about. There are two of these de-gas lines...I think that's what they call them. I believe the batter loop de-gas line is just under the "cover" and to the right side...drivers side. It is just behind a diverter valve. That line goes...

Re: The cooling problems continue

When the battery loop is running (i.e. the pump), do you see fluid drizzling into the reservoir? At least that would indicate that the pump is working. You mentioned before about putting in a flow meter...but this would be a quick check to see that something is happening.

Re: The cooling problems continue

Not sure I have anything new to offer, but a few years back, my HV batter failed and I got a replacement. The dealer forgot to put in coolant. If I recall correctly, this was around August in So California. I ran like this for about a day without knowing, so no issue with the battery getting hot. Th...

Re: Numerous Issues - HELP!

Definitely sounds like there are a few gremlins. 2 things...1) When I get in the car, I first press the start button with my foot on the brake and then buckle my seatbelt. By then, the green "ready" light is lit and I can put the car in gear and go. Every once and awhile, I'm just a bit to...

Re: Device found under steering wheel in new to me FFE

I think it is one of those alarms they try to sell you when you buy the car. The dealers use them while the car is on the lot, and when you buy the car, they try to sell it to you and a way-marked-up price. If you bite, then they give you a fob and enable the alarm. If you don't, they disable it wit...

Re: 2014 Ford Focus Electric Battery Question

So I got a replacement battery for my 2012 Focus Electric about 2 years ago when my car would not run. After about 5 days at the dealer, they told me I was getting a new 33kwh battery....and it has been great ever since. The price on the invoice was $22k, of which I paid nothing; however, that's the...

Re: Where to get Osram Xenarc 66549 HID headlight bulbs for 2012 FFE?

I bought the same ones you did on Amazon for $90/set. There is a notch that you have to cut into the new plast...

Re: Charging Fault

F13 is the on-board charger. You'll have to look up in the electrical service manual to see what that protects. The other 2 fuses don't seem relevant. F15 is unused and F18 is the wiper motor. Does the car charge under some condition....as you are saying that it drives? You might try another "c...

Re: OEM Tires Worn Out After Only 12K Miles!

I have 60+K miles on my focus. I'm on the 3rd set of tires and they just about need replacing. I'm getting about 21K per set. I'm generally pretty hard on the acceleration but rather mild on the braking as I usually get scores in the high 90's per the brake coach. The first set of tires were Low Rol...

Re: 2016 focus electric only shows 57 mile budget

I'm pretty sure that it wasn't till 2017 that the larger battery was available increasing the range above 110 miles per charge. 57 miles at 90% charge actually could be ok. Extrapolating, that'd be 63 miles at 100%. So depending on the miles on the ODO, that could be ok...new, it should have been 76...
