Re: Refurbished Upper HV Battery, HELP with Start-up After Install

You will need to get the scanner working to see exactly what is wrong. A common thing that I've seen happen to others as well as myself are the interlock circuits don't get connected well. On the upper battery pack, you have the service disconnect as well as that cover that covers the high voltage t...

Re: 2012 Died And I Owe Thousands On It

I replaced a contactor in the upper battery. I have the write up on the Facebook group for the Focus EV. Anyway, the individual contactors are a Kilovac EV200A1ANA. You can find them used on eBay for $50. I got mine new on eBay for $130 or so. I don't know if they are all the same because I didn't p...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

If it is a P0A0A at the BECM, there are 5 points that you need to check. In the HV connectors, there will be 2 little pins that interface to their mating connectors. As mentioned, it is just a loop through all the HV connectors to make sure the connectors are secured. -Check the HV disconnects. Ther...

Re: Welp, it's dead...

I was able to find that assembly on eBay for about $1000. However, it kind of looks like it might be the one that connects near the driver-side rear tire. If the problem is at that connection point, there is a TSB for that where Ford will (or used to) fix that for free. May have just been the batter...

Re: Oil Change Required Alert in FordPass

Are you sure it isn't an ICE car? Just kidding. My car is 2012 and no longer connected to the system; but in my sync version, I could go to a menu that would send a vehicle health report and then see it online. Perhaps if you still have that option, then perhaps that would clear the issue. Just a th...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

I'm no lawyer, but it doesn't seem that likely to me. Thinking of the class action lawsuit for the Ford focus / fiesta double clutch transmission, that still isn't settled and they uncovered documents showing that Ford knew of the issue with that transmission and sold the cars anyway. Lacking proof ...

Re: Need to replace 12v battery

Sorry that wasn't enough to take care of it. I have in the past just wiggled it out...must have been a smaller battery or something; but on the last replacement, just unclipping that front panel was enough for me. I'll have to take a closer look at that loom next time I have the hood open.

Re: Need to replace 12v battery

I think this will work for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUfNFdBEi2E Go to 5:30 and hopefully the next 30 seconds is all you need.

This is for an ICE, but it should be the same.

Re: Battery Protection Solutions

I just read somewhere that the battery chemistry was different; or at least I thought I did. At least something has to be different because the capacity is 10KWhs more in the same space. Looking at Skyguy's fix of his 23KWH pack and then at my 33KWH pack, I didn't notice anything different in its co...

Re: Clock stopped working

Figured it out. Pull fuse 67 and put back in. For me, it cause a "Maintenance message" that took a minute or so to complete, but after that, the clock started working again. Fuse 67 mentions Sync and GPS, but nothing about the radio or the clock. I got the tip from the Focusfanatics forum....
