Re: 2012-2014 FFE Battery Life

Don’t buy it. I bought two new 2013 FFE’s. One battery failed at ~75K miles under warranty at the 7 year mark so I got a free replacement. This car is still going strong with the new battery. The second FFE battery failed at 72K miles after the 8 year warranty time frame so no free replacement. Was ...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

My car is out of warranty so no free replacement fo me. I have not been able to find a place that will attempt to repair it. Most shops that deal with electric cars have never even heard of this car. I can repair it similar to the repair that a user accomplished on this site, but since I carry kids ...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

Car is back home. The battery suffered a coolant leak. Shame that a system that is intended to extend the life of the battery is the cause of the failure. The Engineering Test Mode displayed one DTC code C46B86. Would also like to hear from you all about any organizations that would take the car as ...

Re: Failed High Voltage Battery

I estimate that both cars had about a 60 mile range at the time the HV batteries died. Both cars gave the SSN warning light and we could not move the cars at all. Both cars failed in our driveway while disconnected from their charger. The cars had to be towed to the dealer. The dealer ran diagnostic...

Failed High Voltage Battery

Hi All, Some bad news for me today. My 2013 Focus Electric's HV battery was deemed dead at the dealer today after 83,000 miles. Replacement cost is $16,500. It's been a great car up to now. I have enjoyed owning it. I bought it in November 2012 so it is just outside of the 8 year warranty. We bought...

Re: Ford Focus Electric Qualifies For California Carpool Lan

My buddy at work leased a Nissan leaf and his dealer told him he had to apply for the sticker. He just got the sticker in the mail and it took just over a week to get his sticker.

Re: Ford Focus Electric Qualifies For California Carpool Lan

My wife and I both have a 2013 FFE and carpool lane access was one of the most important reasons we decided purchase the cars. It saves us about one hour of commute time per day! CNG burns very clean that's why we can burn it inside our homes so it makes some sense to give it the white sticker.

Re: New mobile site...can't sync value charge times...

I also had duplicate "Home" entries for the charging locations. One had valid coordinates and the other was in the middle of the Atlantic! I had to do a factory reset, logout of the mobile application, log into the mobile website on PC and I was able to click on the blue "x" butt...

Re: Reverse problem

We bought two 2013 FFE's. My car has done this three times and I got out of the stuck condition by turning the car off then back on again. My wife's car has never had this issue. We compared start up sequences and she is more deliberate during start up. Since I have slowed myself down during start u...
