Earlier this month Ford disclosed the sales numbers for the Ford Focus Electric. Ford has sold 6 Ford Focus Electric vehicles in May 2012 with a total of 16 sold since the Ford Focus Electric’s debut in December 2011.
Ford started selling the models on the coasts and plans to make the Ford Focus Electric available in 13 more states later this year.

Wow. At that sales rate, maybe I should buy one on spec. 30 years from now, I could say “I have an original Ford Focus Electric, one of only 500 produced…”
