PluginCars.com is reporting that Ford will being accepting online orders for the 2012 Ford Focus Electric on November 2nd, less than 2 days away.

The electric vehicle race as been between the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf, but now that the Ford Focus Electric is here, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The Ford Focus Electric will be initially available in pilot areas, including California, New Jersey, and New York to start. Unless Ford runs into supply issues like Nissan has with the Leaf, I’d expect production of the Ford Focus Electric to ramp up and expand fairly quickly.

Straight from Ford: “More details on vehicle ordering, such as the build and price shopping tool and tax credit information will be available on November 2.” The wait is finally over – almost!
