Ford will be developing Electric Vehicle Powertrain Diagnostics. Research for the project will be carried out in collaboration with McMaster and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
$2.5 million is being provided by organizations. The research is expected to take 5 years to complete.
The research will focus mainly on developing systems for testing the working and dependability of Hybrid Powertrain Systems as well as in-vehicle monitoring and fault-detection systems.
