GM Offers to buy back Volts

In a bid to further increase consumer confidence, GM is now offering to buy back Chevrolet Volts from any owner who fears the car is a fire risk. Just last week GM offered to loan a different GM vehicle to Volt owners until the battery-fire relation was investigated and solved.

Ford announces collaboration with SHFT.com

Ford has entered into an exclusive collaboration with SHFT.com, an award winning multimedia platform founded by actor and filmmaker Adrian Grenier and film producer Peter Glatzer. Part of Ford’s mission, which is fairly evident in the Ford Focus Electric and other upcoming vehicles, is to accelerate the development of more fuel-efficient autos. Ford patents greener method to attach windshields

Ford is once again innovating – this time it’s by developing and patenting a greener way to attach windshields. The new process makes the attachments simpler, less costly, and more environmentally friendly than current practices.

Ford developing Electric Vehicle diagnostics

Ford will be developing Electric Vehicle Powertrain Diagnostics. Research for the project will be carried out in collaboration with McMaster and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. $2.5 million is being provided by organizations. The research is expected to take 5 years to complete. The research will focus mainly on developing systems for Ford developing Electric Vehicle diagnostics
