I am not sure if everyone is aware, but there will be National Plug-in Day events in 77 locations thoughout the US on September 28 and 29.

"National Plug In Day is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more."

This is a great opportunity to get out and meet other EV drivers! I will be at the event in Houston.

More information, including links to register and volunteer, can be found at the following link:

Yes, but for the lack of a search feature, I doubt if anyone will find it. There has been some discussion back at the MFM Forum. Here: https://bev.myfordmobile.com/content/country/default/jsp/myCommunity/discussionTopic.faces

But we might as well publicize it where ever we can. As mentioned on the MFM site, the LA/Orange County event can be registered here: (I am still the only FFE, so someone please join me and try to help balance out 25 Leafs, so far.)
http://pluginday.org/event.php?eventid=54

and is described like this:

Los Angeles/Orange County National Plug in Day
When: Saturday, September 28th 10:00am - 2:00 pm
Where: California State University Office of the Chancellor
401 Golden Shore, Long Beach, CA 90802

Please RSVP so we know your t shirt size, and have a chance to win an all day electric bike rental for two from Pedego of Long Beach. In addition to test driving plug in cars from #SmartUSA, Nissan, Honda, and Chevy, attendees can test drive Brammo Electric Motorcycles and Pedego electric bicycles. Pedego is setting up a bike valet and there is a great bike path along the water. The Queen Mary is hosting the Vintage Japanese Car Show, and we are going to have discounts for other attractions in the area like the Long Beach Aquarium.

We are also cutting the ribbon on the Smart sponsored Adopt a Charger at the Office of the Chancellor. The equipment was donated by Google with maintenance & electrical sponsored by SMART, so the charge can be offered fee free to EV drivers. See you there!!

Looking forward to attending in Long Island this weekend. I hope to meet other FFEV owners and learn about their experiences with their car.

Hey unplugged - looks like I won't be able to catch the last hour of this event after all... bums me out because it looks like it's exploded into one huge event - 195 cars! I'll be looking for your FFE on the TV coverage.

I'm still going to the Sunday event in Northridge, though. So far I'm the only FFE... mostly Teslas, Volts, and Leaves.
