The Ford site for the Ford Focus Electric car talks about the eco-friendly interior:
The earth-friendly cloth seat fabric in the Ford Focus Electric is made from 100% post-industrial materials. The seat cloth uses polyester fibers that would otherwise have ended up in landfills. The seat cushions use a bio-based foam derived from soybeans and other plant seeds. Ford has these seats not only in the Ford Focus Electric Car, but in over 1 million of their vehicles, leading to a waste reduction of 5 million pounds.

Ford also has info stating they use recycled resins from ties, detergent bottles, and battery casings on aerodynamic and splash sheilds on the Ford Focus Electric car.

My question is whether or not this is a real pull for a consumer to consider Ford over other manufacturers? This should be the norm in the industry, not a feature. Maybe for now if Ford is leading the way with it's Ford Focus Electric car using so many recycled materials it could potentially attract buyers.

Some studies state that 1 in 4 adults in the US are living more sustainable lives and are interested in companies that are more responsible.

That's exactly it - I think the eco-friendliness of the Ford Focus Electric (whether it's the all electric part or the thoughful interior) it all goes towards encouraging people to by the Focus EV instead of some other car.

And once every car in the market has eco-friendly products in the interior, it won't be a feature.

Remember when 'cloth seats' were a feature? Now every vehicle has cloth seats, and leather seats are the feature.
