2012 Bleeding Brakes and Coolant Flush?

Ditto above. Do not change the brake fluid. Hydraulic fluid in a sealed system does not "wear out." The coolant recommended change is 10 years or 150,000 miles. That one you may be closing in on. And I've seen some recommendations to go with the new orange fluid, but I'd get the dealer's...

SSN Fix: DIY Upper HV Pack Heat Exchanger (Cooling Plate) Removal

And would you even know you had an overheating situation with no coolant running through the pack? I'm assuming that a coolant sensor is how the temperature is measured.

    FFE/Sync Software Versions

I think my 2013 FFE has the wrong software in it. Pictures of other cars and the owner's manual show a leaf option along with these three which accesses a bunch of screens I don't have. Am I the only FFE like this?

    Car not starting with brake

It is attached to the brake pedal . It is the same one an ICE Focus uses. It is the highlighted piece in this diagram. It doesn't look easy to get to poking around under the dash. It looks like there are You Tube videos available.

Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

Here's what I ended up with.

    Car not starting with brake

Press on the brake pedal and see if the brake lights in the tail light up. If not, the switch that tells the car that the pedal is depressed is not working. You should hope it is that easy fix. And never discount disconnecting the battery for a minute or so and then reconnecting. That reboot of...

Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

Okay, new problem. Once the car turns on and the power is on, the main battery is charging the 12V and the meter reads over 14. The goal was to see what the voltage was before the car starts. Looks like I may have to tap into the cigar lighter/powerpoint fuse and have the thing glow for ten...

Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

If you could check that for me I'd be very grateful.

Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

That voltmeter in the lighter is what I have now. I just wanted something that would shut off when the car shut off. I don't get why the cigarette lighter would be engineered to stay on for fifteen minutes.

Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

Trying to hook up a voltmeter to display only when the ignition is on. I bought what is basically a fused splitter that plugs into the fuse box and provides an additional power lead out. But no matter what fuse I've tried so far in the box under the glove compartment, they are all hot even with...

    Added Voltmeter?

Yes, it still stays on for a while no matter what you do. Not sure how long, it does eventually shut down. I'm not sure why it was designed that way.

    Added Voltmeter?

Has anyone added a voltmeter display to their car? I have one that plugs into what used to be called a cigarette lighter in the console, but it stays on long after the car shuts off. I was thinking of one that would be run through an circuit that opened when you opened the door to the car and...

Keep the FFE or move on?

There isn't a lot to break on an electric car. The concern would be when something electric-only did break, will Ford still make the part. This is a low volume car and the mandate to make parts available for vehicles is a myth. Also keep in mind that the battery pack has to be installed and that...

    New FFE owner

If you have a 40 mile commute one way, you don't need to fully charge if the cost per KW is too high. Adding 20 miles worth would be more than enough to get you back home to do the full charge there. And while in some instances, the cost comparison with the gas Focus might not be superior, the...

FFE won’t update ownership in MyFord mobile

I think that I had to do it on my computer at myfordmobile.com first when I bought my used FFE. It took several tries. And then the app will be a disappointment.

    A/C Evaporator Drain Location

I had the car on a lift and went up and down the floor pan. I'll be damned if I can find the drain opening. Based on the above picture, it should be on the passenger side of the former transmission tunnel, but there's nothing there or anywhere else that I can see.
