    17.1 kWh @ 20,000 miles

How are you guys measuring the capacity. Don't trust ETE on the OBD scanner...In my case that always read higher than what the battery could really deliver. Only good way is to run the battery top to bottom and look at the energy delivered and with the battery at normal operating temperature...

    Chevy Bolt Drive

If you go on the mychevybolt web site, people describe how it's really easy to detach the seat cover, add a little foam underneath, and they say it resolves the seat issue. I don't know, didn't find it necessary to modify. It's apparently a 10 minute job.

Check out both the cloth and leather seats. Consensus is that the leather has slightly better padding. And it's not so much about the width as the shape. Some people have issues, some don't. Give it a try see how it works for you.

No, Glendale. And that was a few months back. I don't know if the prices are higher or lower today.

That almost certainly also does not include sales tax, and zero down is not the same as zero drive away. That deal probably requires maybe $800 or so in fees due at signing. The deal one should want is zero drive away, not a penny due at signing.. And yes forget the website calculator...

    Chevy Bolt Drive

For what its worth, we got a Bolt Premier with both packages and DCFC ($43510 MSRP) on a 36 Month, 15K mile lease for $360 including California sales tax, zero down, zero driveaway (about $329 before sales tax). That did not involve the California $2500 rebate which will effectively reduce the...

    Chevy Bolt Drive

I found the back seat of the Focus to be almost unusable except to throw stuff. Not suitable for an adult. Back seat of Bolt is very roomy by comparison. By contrast, FFE front was more comfortable. User interface of Bolt is more modern, but frankly I found the FFE user interface to be...

    Chevy Bolt Drive

I have gone from needing to plan every day's drive like a trans Atlantic flight (Focus) to not giving it a thought (Bolt). I loved my FFE, but the day of the FFE has passed.

whats the highest odometer reading on a FFE?

Mine was around 53,000 miles when I turned it in This most miles Ford would allow on a lease was 19.5K/year = 58.5K so probably few leased cars above that. Furthermore, mine was getting pretty limited as to range due to battery fade...I think that's approaching the end of useful life for...

    Will AAA tow me home?

I never ran out in my Focus, but friends ran out twice in a Rav-4 EV. No problem to get a tow home

End of lease? What are you doing?

Normally they will do so, but you should definitely do it yourself and not risk their making a mistake. The new owner is Ford Credit at whatever address you have been using for them A friend turned in his car out of state, and the California DMV never got notified. It was a big expensive...

End of lease? What are you doing?

I had mine done. It was painless and fair.

18650 laptop cells for increased range?!

This would be very expensive and difficult. A much better plan would be to buy an EV that meets your range need where all this work was done by the manufacturer.

You are talking to the wrong people. In Los Angeles, at least, dealers have literally hundreds in stock for immediate delivery.

    Chevy Bolt Drive

For what it's worth....I tried to rent a Bolt on GM's Maven car sharing service (like zipcar). They are the worst and most incompetent. Worst customer service I've encountered from anyone is years. I rather deal with the DMV. Avoid them at all costs. I was unable to rent the Bolt, ended...

    Chevy Bolt Drive

I'm to the wire and need to get something by the end of the month. This weekend I plan to rent a Bolt for a few hours, see how it compares with my old FFE and with my Volt, which is the alternative I'm considering.

FFE Liquid Cooling vs VW eGolf Air Cooling

It's not only the overall temperature but also the possibility of local hotspots in the pack. Liquid is better.

Using an Extension Cord With The FFE

It will absolutely work if the cord is properly rated for the current drawn. The reason manufacturers always say not to use an extension cord is because you are not supposed to do so. Article 625 of the NEC sets a maximum distance of 12" for the cord from the outlet to the EVSE protective...

    17.1 kWh @ 20,000 miles

Battery age is also an important factor. A three year old battery with low miles could easily have faded I'm active on the Chevy Bolt forum and the guys there want to believe the Bolt battery won't fade in the same way that many here believed, three years ago, that the Focus battery would...

Where is the 2017 Focus Electric???

I totally agree. I consider the Bolt range to be 120 miles, in the winter, after three years and 50,000 miles, with reasonable reserve After three years in an 80 mile car, I will settle for nothing less than a 200 mile car
