    2018 FFE Battery

You can read my article about leasing a 2017 Focus Electric here: https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1115260_how-to-buy-or-lease-an-electric-car-advice-from-owner-whos-done-it-four-times

    2019 Ford Focus Electric?

Ford states that the new Focus will be built in China. No joke. And, of course, with EVs required by China, it will be the opportune place to build.

    Lease Transfer

I would say that a lease transfer tax is only in a few states. For instance, California does not assess a transfer tax.

Lease Assumption on Focus Electric Available

Focus Electric 2013 in absolutely mint condition. 15 months remaining on lease. Effective monthly payment: $312.08 I was thinking of moving up to the Tesla Model S. But my lease is for another 15 months. What to do? Then I found a website called SwapaLease.com and discovered a world I wish I...

    Anything goes

Ford has been and still is a member of the CCS DC Quick Charge consortium. There is absolutely no chance that Ford will move to CHAdeMO for several reasons, not the least being that the CHAdeMO standard is made up of Japanese and Korean manufacturers (and Renault). ALL other German, and U.S...

    20 kW Fast Charging Future

From what I have heard from Leaf owners, the CHAdeMO charging cable is hardly any better in the flexibility department than the CCS. In fact, reports I have read say the CCS "nozzle plug" is easier to handle than the CHAdeMO one. As you can see from this photo, the cable is pretty damn thick...

    Intelligent charge station navigation

Ford announced a year or so back that Ford has a relationship with Plugshare for the plug-in hybrids. (They didn't mention the FFE for some reason.) I don't know what happened with that announced relationship.

    Price Point

EVA, without California enacting CARB, we would have one, possibly two selections for EVs today: Tesla and Nissan. The remainder of the EVs on the market today are sold solely or primarily because of California's ZEV mandate. So, really, the California law is not that "horrible." And, of...

    Ford @ CES

I would suggest that the rather large print "DC Charging" is also a good giveaway that the car uses CCS with DC Quick Charge.

    Tire Pressure monitor

Yep, I would think that any Ford system is smart enough to reset when the wheel is changed.

    Obama to visit Wayne Assembly

PU leather is simply polyurethane. Ford can't call fake stuff leather, or Ford would have even more lawsuits to worry about. (But note that all automakers provide "leather seating surfaces." So your leather seat is most likely vinyl on the seat sides and possibly headrests. It's really hard to...

    Monthly electricity use

I guess it will depend upon the SCE "analysis" that is to come in a few weeks. Hopefully, the end result will be a more reasonable in-house rate.

    Tire Pressure monitor

I'm a bit confused on this. Wouldn't the sensor just send out the pressure whatever tire it was attached to? Aren't the tire sensors the same for each tire?

    Obama to visit Wayne Assembly

I would submit that there are very few Obama haters on this board. Maybe the Tesla board.

Is heated stearing wheel coming in 2015?

A production change takes at least two years to implement before release to consumers. Ford would be way too late if Ford were to wait on the Leaf. The new FFE will be released for the 2017 model year, 2018 at the latest. Changes to the FFE are already headed for production.
