    Next Week--NAIAS

Sure they can make more. Max OT can usually add 20-30% if the suppliers can keep up. My point is the car will likely be capacity constrained. Actually GM is headed in the right direction compared to Ford. They have a competitive plug in hybrid (Volt) and a competitive BEV (Bolt). Just...

    Next Week--NAIAS

Really disappointed today. Expected something better than the Bolt from Ford and got nothing. This is the typical "Innovators Dilemma" for all the major automakers. They are not making money on the Focus Electric for sure. To invest more is throwing away more money. Yes, GM is looks good...

Possible 2014 FFE purchase, I have questions.

258 Wh/mile is pretty good. The EPA estimate is assuming better as this translates into about 70 miles of range. The battery pack only has about 18+kWh usable. 60 Mile round trip every day would be tough without workplace charging or unless you live somewhere with very moderate temps all...

    Decreasing Range

You can calculate the usable capacity of the Focus electric battery pretty easy. When you take a long trip (30-40miles+)reset one of the trip minders in the beginning of the trip and also note the battery percentage. When you are finished the note the KWH used on the trip and the end battery...

    Lost charging port cover/door

Unpainted is pretty typical of these types of parts. Body parts are usually replaced for accident damage so the body shop is going to be painting them so everything matches. There is also pretty large risk paint on a body part will be damaged in shipping and handling. I once bought a...

    Used FFE's

You would have been better off with the 2015. There is no tax credit on the used 2014. The new 2015 car would have been $19.5K-20.5K after the $7500 tax credit.

    145 FFE's sold in February

Ford was number one seller of plug in electric vehicles in February. The FFE sold limited numbers mainly due to low inventory. As inventory is replenished my prediction is you will see much stronger sales numbers with the new pricing structure.

    2015 Lease price

The TrueCar price includes the $3500 purchase price rebate. The lease rebate is $8250 (at least in my area). On a purchase you can take the Federal tax credit of $7500. On the lease, the financing company is taking the tax credit but the rebate is higher ($8250 versus $3500) due to this...

    2015 Lease price

Beginning to shop for a 2015 to replace the expiring lease on 2012 FFE. Just curious if anyone has leased a 2015 and deal they got? Based on a the recommended Truecar discount and $8250 incentive I am coming up about approx $195/mo with the $889 down. I am assuming a car with leather and an...

New Pricing and incentives for 2014 and 2015 FFE's

My lease is up on my 2012 Focus Electric on March 2nd 2015. At this point I can buy a new one for less than the residual (approx $21500) on my 2012 if I consider the $7500 federal tax credit. Can I extend the current lease? Are there options to extend beyond 30 days? (My current lease is...

New Pricing and incentives for 2014 and 2015 FFE's

Jachady.... Any update on the 2015 rebates? Will they be the same as the 2014. Is it possible to order a 2015 at this point? If you order a factory built car are the rebates the same?

    Current Residual Values

If you use the Ford website I am getting approximately $13K for a base car (no special paint or leather) after 3 years @10.5K miles. Car Price = 30,900 This seems to vary on the Ford site. Have not quite figured out the logic but it my area in is close to $29,995 but not quite. Capitalized...

    Problems with the 13A01 Update

The discharge problem turned out to be a bad 12V battery. I purchased a 2012 in March or 2013 so the car sat on the lot for a long time. The dealer thought this contributed to the battery failure. The bluetooth issue was fixed with yet another software update. The regen issue remains...

    Problems with the 13A01 Update

Has anyone experienced problems with the 13A01 update to their car. Mine has been a disaster so I would not do it yet as there are bugs to be worked out. -Took the dealership more than 10 hours with several calls to Ford. -The car was fully charged when I dropped off. They returned the car...

Has anyone successfully gotten a lease?

Just leased mine today. $199 month for 24 months. $1000 down. 10500 mi/year. 2012 White Pearl with Leather. Was surprised NJ has no sales tax on Electric cars so this is was the cost all in. The Finance guy this save me about $1500 in New Jersey you normal sales tax on any mfg rebates as...
