Long story short, I found myself in a position where I have 3 different OEM EVSE's that are all capable of running at 220v. They came from a 2012 Ford Focus Electric, 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and a 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV. Must mention that the Ford Focus Electric had a recall on the EVSE...
Well, anyone looking for a parts car, our 2012 is being auctioned off. It was reporting 77% battery until a day or so ago when the 12v battery died.

Well, this may be taken care of. My daughter decided to do some "enhancements" including bending the frame. At the collision shop, they stated prognosis is not good....
We will see on Monday
Interesting, I suppose what you are saying is that brake fluid is a lifetime fluid? Playing the devil's advocate, isn't Lifetime generally described as 10 years so it should be changed at some point?
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to do unneeded work if I don't have to. Brakes feels fine...
Yeah, I read the Shop Manual, that is where I got the information that you need to plug a computer up to have it open 3 valves and turn on the coolant pump while cycling out the old coolant. Without being able force the valves open and enable the pump, you are basically clearing out the...
We have owned this 2012 FFE for about 3-4 years now and have really done 0 maintenance to it (pop the hood and see there is coolant is where it needs to be and rotate the tires). Was looking at bleeding the brakes and swapping the coolant. Bleeding the brakes looks pretty standard with a...
Is there a way to have the Ford Focus Electric start charging immediately even though it is set to "Value Charge"? I read the manual and I couldn't find anything.
On our Chrysler Pacifica PHEV, if it is set to start charging at 2AM, if you plug in, unplug, and plug back in, it will start...
So, this did come from CarMax and they offered a 5 year / 75K mile warranty that covers everything but the battery for pretty inexpensive. Normally I’m not keen on these 3rd party warranties but figured the risk maybe worth it?
So, ran the battery down to a displayed 0%, ForScan showed H_BATT_CHAR %7.90 so guess that is the bottom buffer. Trip Meter for 60 miles showed 15.8 KWH. As mentioned this was with mostly interstate driving (~75% of it running the AC most of the time and some heat).
Did a full charge and...
So, in ForScan I found BAT_TO_EMPTY_ESTIM(kWh) and it is at 12.066.
I was going to go out and drive it down to almost empty just to see how many miles (has been mix of city and interstate so far with the AC on) and then look at BAT_TO_EMPTY_ESTIM(kWh)?
So, I have 5 days to decide if I want to keep it. I was thinking of taking to the dealership and have them do a PPI of a sort and tell me the health of the battery. I do have a Bluetooth ODBII adapter so installed the ForScan app on my Surface and connected up. Problem is, I don't know really...
