Hi,
True the electric motor is more/most efficient at 60 to 90 % of maximum RPMs but the current range limitation is the battery charge. So while lowering the efficiency of the drive train and motor the drain on the battery would be less. Question is will the tradeoffs increase the range? I...
Not sure I understand your reply to mrpalerider. Having one more gear for highway speeds for example would allow the drain on the batteries to be less an extend the range of the car for example.
The silence from Ford is curious. My significant other won't consider an FFE with the current color choices and I think I read they are built on the same factory line as all the other colors.
Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply I did not know about the budget gauge. Still if the estimate is based on 55MPH with cruise control it is not based in the reality of commuting here in LA. Carpool or regular lanes if the traffic is flowing is 70 to 75 MPH and as MPH goes up the range gets shorter so...
This there some definitive definition of the range? For example At 70MPH with the headlights on and the heater running the range is xx. The equivalent MPG numbers are nice but the engineers I know have more range info.
One other suggestion is to have some sort of loan program for potential...
