2018 FFEs sold out in California

Ford plans to discontinue all passenger cars in the USA except for the Mustang, they are going to concentrate on trucks and SUVs in the future it appears.

FFE first time service - where and when?

I had the Ford dealer do the annual service each year during my FFE lease. Cost only about $11 and they rotated the tires and did inspections, check the 12v battery, etc.

    Drained 12V Battery

I had this 12v battery draining problem early on the first year with my leased 2014 FFE. However a firmware update came out that reportedly addressed this problem among other things and I go that done at the Ford dealer and I rarely had the issue after that. To be safe, I kept a lithium ion 12v...

What about the Cmax? Will that model continue in 2019+?

    Car will not start

I wonder if this troubleshooting issue is any better with other EVs like the Chevy Bolt and Nissan Leaf?

    Chevy Bolt Drive

This excellent video review from a Bolt EV LT owner in Maine was put today. Shows the screens and several of the features in real time during a drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxv56U9tPRc

    Chevy Bolt Drive

How was your experience regarding the Chevy Bolt rear cargo storage space vs the FFE? I'm also anxiously awaiting the upcoming Hyundai Kona EV later this year, looks like it could give the Bolt competition.

    Chevy Bolt Drive

Excellent Bolt review, thanks! Do you think a driver with height 6'2" and weight 190# would find the driver's seat OK as you did?

Lease a new 2018 FFE vs purchase a used 2014 FFE

Yep, I just checked the CarMax website for used FFEs in California. I found one 2015 FFE but it has 9K miles listed, at a $15.5K price. The cheapest FFE listed there is a 2012 with 40K miles for $10.6K price. Outside of carmax, I found a used 2012 FFE with 74K miles for sale at a Southern CA...

Actual residual value of your FFE...

With that 8300 or so residual price, what is the end of lease buyout price then?

Lease a new 2018 FFE vs purchase a used 2014 FFE

$21K for a used 2014-2015 FFE is way too high. Should be closer to $12K or less. Buying a new 2017 FFE with the discounts for the remaining ones plus CA rebate and Fed tax credit should offer a better deal plus getting a bigger battery. Check out Mossy Ford in San Diego I see they have several...

FFE does not start charging if the battery is near full

On your 2012 FFE, how low percentage wise compared to a full capacity new battery did your original battery get down to in order to get a free warranty replacement with the new higher capacity battery pack? Less than 50% of new capacity?

    2018 FFE Battery

I see one Ford dealer in San Diego, CA shows 27 of 2017 FFEs listed with $3393 dealer discount plus Ford retail bonus customer cash of $3,350, so reduces the total price down from MSRP to as low as under $24K before any tax credit and CA rebate, but before tax, etc.

    2018 FFE Battery

I'm seeing big discounts on remaining 2017 FFEs at local dealers compared to the prices on new 2018 FFE on the way to dealers, so there if there isn't any improvements on the 2018's sounds like the remaining new 2017's are a better deal? I also saw a used 2017 FFE at a local dealer with about...

    2018 FFE Battery

Is there any other known differences with the 2018 FFE vs the 2017?
