It’s odd. There is now a federal rebate for used vehicle bought through a dealership. I sold my 2015 FFE to Carvana in Chicago for over $6,800. I suspect they shipped it to CA where they understand electric cars.
I went straight to the bank.
July 24
The service manager offered me a free loaner. Great option. I really just want the car back and to function properly.
While there, they had the car charging using the brand new 110 charger replaced under warrantee. It was charging in the shop using an extension cord. Not...
I read your post. My car is having crazy problems during 90+ heat. My dealer checked the 12V battery and said it was good. Any guesses? They've had my car for 3 weeks now and waiting on Ford Corporate to interpret what the codes mean
Here is my original post...
He pulled the codes. Has Ford assisting. I have one of very few (3??) in NW INdiana. These techs don't see the EVs often. Hopefully he saw your reply.
They are charging the car and getting errors as we speak. Its 95 again here.
Thanks
Where do you live? What is the winter like?
I have a 2015 FFE and live in suburban Chicago. The polar vortex will have you calling off with a 2015. I have a 24 mile one way commute with no charging at the office. If it is below 32, I use the ICE vehicle, otherwise, i'm driving with the seat...
Update
7/5 Ford replaced my 110 charger under warrantee. It was causing a charging fault while the dealers charger worked fine. I never use this charger. I have a 220 in the garage.
While the car is sitting in front of the dealer. More warning lights go on. Back home in the loaner...
triangles,
thanks that worked perfect.

sounds like a overheating problem. I have no confidence in our local Ford techs

Summer recently arrived here in Chicago.
Recently I am getting lots of charging faults. The car will not complete the charging cycle, sends me a text stating
"NWI White Lightning had a fault while charging"
5 minutes later I'll get another
"NWI White Lightning's scheduled charge has...
I would be leary of that GOM stating 57 miles range. In Chicago, 80 degrees, you should be 70ish. My 2015 tops out at about 80 miles under ideal driving conditions and temp.
The warrantee clearly states hybrid/electric unique component 8 years/100,000
also
loss of battery capacity is NOT...
I will be out of town in the winter. The car will be stored in a garage in the Midwest for 2-3 months. There will be access to electric.
What is the best thing to do to ensure that the car (battery) is still good when I get back?
Sorry, I'm not an engineer, but a FFE owner.
I have greatly discounted charging 10PM - 6 AM. so i always start at 11:00PM, done by 1:30 am. I leave for work at 7:15 am
Is it a problem to have your battery at 100% for a length of time?
I've owned my FFE for 2 1/2 years. i have 35,500 miles on. I've had this problem multiple times in the ownership of the car. My local dealer in NW Indiana can't figure it out. Sometimes they see codes and reset the system, but they don't FIX anything.
i leave the car set at value charge...
I sent a PM to a few, but though a new topic is a better idea.
I live in Chesterton, IN just outside Chicago. It is down in the 40's F now and I am starting to worry, I may not be able to drive this car for my normal commute all winter.
I have a 23.5 mile 1 way commute to work. When I...
