    Quick charge project

Alas, no. And I live near Portland, OR. I need something pre-made that I can drop in that's fairly plug and play with instructions and pictures. I may have to wait until Ford decides to add a Combo port and get an aftermarket Chademo adaptor. Ford has had one thus equipped touring around...

    Quick charge project

Bump. Update? Parts list? Price? Would do you need the BRUSA if you don't want a second level 2 charger, but just want Chademo charging? What part of the country do you live in?

    Quick charge project

Could you post a list of parts and prices?

Long time owners without major issues?

31,817 miles. No major issues. Had one SSN stall at exactly 10K miles, but no more after update.

    Negotiating End of Lease Purchase

If you are already in a lease, the lease end purchase price is already set and signed by you as the "residual value". The only thing that would affect this is damage, or excess miles. Neither the leasee, nor the dealership can negotiate this price. It is set by the manufacturer based on the...

    Quick charge project

Bump. +1 very interested. if Chademo could be made to work, I'd not only pay for the parts, I'd pay someone to install it. ;)

What's the lowest GOM miles you've arrived home with?

I can consistently go 2 miles past zero on the GOM on flat roads. I've pushed it to 3 and still have gotten home. Much past that and it turns off (becomes neutral coast). We've purposely push the limits at calculated times when we can afford to be stranded, to learn where the line is so that the...

Hilltop Mode or Partial Fill Mode

It's debates like this that make me wish that each EVs published their BMS and regen numbers. Through experimentation many here have come to "believe" that the FFE uses only 19.5 of its 24 kWh battery. At this point I "assume" 100% on my FFE means the smaller of these two numbers. Does this...

Did my FFE somehow keep driving past 0 miles range??

After running past zero in all weather types, I can usually count on at least 2 miles of flat non-highway range. I've gone as much as 3 though. Hills are really out of the question though.

Driving electric on packed snow - review

Overall I was very surprised and impressed. Portland, OR: 2-4 inches of powdery and packed snow. 2/6-2/7. 20 degrees F -ish. Drove 30 miles home after work with wife and 3 year old asleep in back, and then drove 30 miles back to work by myself this morning. Starting from a stop: Lots of...

Is Ford going to sitck with the EV or not?

Time will tell. It's long term viability will depend on it improving its range.

What I am missing on the Focus Electric

2 answers. First, Ford is pushing cars with ICEs over cars those that don't. They make more money on long term service and maintenance. Second, the FFE is a compliance car, a very good compliance car, but a low volume compliance car. Not enough made to have much variation. As to dealers...

    150 mile range

Just a thought, a larger range "summer" battery will have a larger cold range defecit. 150 summer range might equal 103 winter (31.25% loss). Here's another thought. Wish that my manipulating the heat/HVAC didn't affect my butterfly score. There's got to be a way to compute it so that it bases...

    Stop Safely Now Warning

For being THE hottest thread on this discussion board, it has fallen very quiet over the last week, exactly what would happen if chronic SSNers have had no new instances after update, but are also leary of speaking too soon. This is a very good sign. Tentatively. Since leasing in Aug, no SSNs...
