Finding an in-stock model may still be rare, but maybe someone on here who lives by one can go take a pic and post it? Or what about the salesman that is on here and posted that he had two in stock and ready to go? Time to step up and help out, show your interest in helping out an owner...

My guess is someone showed up that wanted one sooner and was willing to pay and extra $1,000 or whatever, so your order got hijacked. I can't believe the dealer admitted that they are selling the car to someone else, I bet this happens more than we know and the dealer just keeps mum and the guy...

I have ordered cars several times, but to me this is not normal. My 'guess' is that it has less to do with your car in particular and more to do with all of the models built thus far and that a problem has arisen and they are working on a fix and will install those fixes before the vehicles...

Since some current models have had issues with the MyFord Touch, my guess (no data to back it up, just a guess) is that the reason that the "late 2011" launch has changed to "early 2012" is due to tweaks needed in this functionality.

I've driven that road several times, it may be only 12 miles for the portion of the course they raced on, but it's quite an uphill climb going from 9,000' to 14,000' in 12 miles, I wonder how much those uphills took a toll on the battery over a normal cruise along a mostly level road.
