Is the heater/defroster a range killer?

You are correct about the heater. I wonder why you set the seat heater to 1? Even at 5, it uses hardly any power.

One-touch up or down window control

On my Focus Electric, only one window was opening all the way with the one touch. The manual on page 142 describes the feature. On 143 it says how to reset the bounce-back feature. This turns out to also enable the one-touch feature. In a nut shell, just close the window, then release and...

    FFE Efficient driver feedback

    1. I would also like to have that. 2. L just remaps the throttle to do more regen. I wish there was a setting to make it do stronger regen. 3. I will figure that out when I get the car. 4. I would like to hear also. Many cars it is more like 45 since an idling ice uses energy. Since there is...

FFE now available at the closest dealer to the plant.

I would recommend going with a lease. Zero down and 389 per month, or 2190 down and 328 a month with a 45% (18000) residual gives a total cost of 32000. That is what you would pay if you bought it and got the federal tax credit. If you have state credits, you get them when you buy out the...

    Ford C-Max test drive

Looking forward to hearing about the energi. My dealer called yesterday to say that they are getting one in next week.

    Volts

I believe that it is 300 volts. The solar panel on the leaf only keeps the accessory battery charged. On the prius it can run a cooling fan.

    Body work with Ford Focus

The battery should be well insulated. The heat isn't on that long in the oven.

    Dear Ford...

I like the creep. I would like much stronger regen in low like the Chevy volt. Perhaps it could be configured in setup settings. Even if only by the dealer. My 2012 should be on Monday. I can't wait!

Has anyone successfully gotten a lease?

1050. You could up it for a price, but it is plenty for me.

    My initial questions

I would guess that Ford can get away with air cooled batteries on the energi since it can always start the gas motor if the battery is too hot or cold. The Prius does the same thing.

    Dead 12V battery

The seat heaters are 12volt. But are much more efficient than the cabin heaters. If you drive an hour a day with the seat heat heaters on max, they might use a fifth of a kwh. Or less than a mile of range.

    Dead 12V battery

The Prius and the Chevy volt also work this way. The car has to be on for it to keep the 12 volt battery charged.

Has anyone successfully gotten a lease?

I just signed a lease in Denver for a 2012 for $230 per month $0 down. It should here be next week. I also contacted a California dealer who offered to ship one to me for $810 shipping, $2800 down, $199 per month
