Question for those who have had drivetrain issues

I’ve had this happen on my 2017 twice. Once at 7K and again at around 13K. Both times, it got a motor and gearbox, due to the amount of debris throughout. What all did they replace on yours?

    2020 Mach 1

My guess is that silhouetted vehicle is the new Bronco--they have started teasing it lately. The silhouetted vehicle is not the Bronco. It is a smaller unnamed off-road SUV, roughly Escape sized. Also, it seems like the Mach 1 name may have been dropped. After much backlash, it was made...

    2019 Ford Focus Electric?

It’s certainly a slow time in the refresh cycle, but there’s going to be interesting stuff coming over the next few years. SUVs and CUVs will certainly get more love, as that’s what is selling these days. Based on the Mach 1 teaser video from the auto show, it’s clear the BEV CUV/SUV(?) coming...

    2019 Ford Focus Electric?

Some specifics on the plant changeover just came out. May 7 - Oct 22. We’ll have to wait and see when the details for the 2019 come out. It seems likely that there’ll be a gap in production between 2018 and 2019 model years. I haven’t seen any mention of upcoming BEVs that come before 2020...

    2017 Glove Box removal

-You need to pull back the door weatherstrip and pop off the side finish panel. -Remove the lower trim underneath (hush panel I think it's called), that is held with the 2 speed nuts. -You should now have access to remove 1 fastener on the side, 2 at the top, 2 on the bottom. It looks like...

    Sleep mode

I've seen that message when I went on a trip for a couple weeks. I think after a week or so the car goes to sleep to prevent the TCU from killing the battery.

    Cooling System: On board charger

What kinda of range is it giving you now?

    Cooling System: On board charger

On some cars, the heater core can be difficult to burp. I've heard success from raising the front end of the car (or drive up on ramps). Though vacuum bleeding also helps. But yeah, the dealer would be best, since they can go through all the scan tool procedures that they likely didn't do. I'd...

    Cooling System: On board charger

I'll have to look into it more, but I bet it's just opening the coolant valves and kicking on the pumps. Also, regarding the filter. It's a small canister located just above the driver side half-shaft, where it enters the transmission.

    Cooling System: On board charger

After HV battery replacement, the coolant filter is supposed to be replaced, along with the cooling system fill and purge procedures (done by the scan tool). This activates the valves and pumps appropriately to purge the system of any trapped air. Not sure whether or not those functions are...

Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay on 2017 FFE

That describes my experience as well. It’s too bad that you lose the budget and other cluster navigation features. Another interesting, but probably not all the useful feature: When you enter a destination with the built in nav, then plug in your iPhone, Apple Maps takes over navigation to...

300 mile BEV SUV by 2020?

I think it's too soon for anything to be out there yet. Plus with the recent management shakeup, some directions/details could change. Though I'm sure nothing major regarding this vehicle. I'm in the same boat of excitement though. I leased my 2017 FFE for 4 years, so I knew that the 300 mile...
