At this point in my life, I've now had 3 cars with automatic headlights. A 1999 Cadillac STS (which had a FANTASTIC automatic lighting system), my 2015 FFE, and now my 2017 FFE.

The 2015 FFE was a tad annoying, you'd go under a bridge for a brief moment, and the lights would turn on (dash dims, etc).

The 2017 is HYPER sensitive. If a sparrow flies over the car and the shadow hits the sensor, lights turn on, Sync 3 does it's little dimming dance, then seconds later the reverse. It's especially bad in the late afternoon. Car is pointed one way, all is well, I turn to the right, shadows hit everything just right, lights come on, turn back, lights go off, lather rinse repeat.

is there ANY possible way to adjust the thresholds on the sensor?

Thx.

Sorry no.

Maybe leave a dead sparrow on top of the sensor to stop it from changing all the time?

:D I'm not too far away from trying that.....sigh.

Where is the light sensor located?

Middle of the dash next to the windshield. Most car manufacturers put it there (if the car has one)
