This would definitely be a concern in the Focus Electric since it has a cellular modem, like the Jeep they hacked into.

Sure; keep in mind, though, that it took them over a year to reverse engineer the Jeep enough to be able to control it remotely.

Granted a determined hacker will do the same if there is a payoff.

In the case of the FFE would it be worth it? With only 2500 or so total vehicles on the road is it really worth that kind of effort? (unless the same hack also applies to the Fusion and C-Max Energies..I'm guessing it would--even so the total # of cars there is far less than the 371,000 estimated vulnerable vehicles in the article).
