I have trouble telling Oxford White apart from White Platinum in photos. In person, you can see that the White Platinum has a metallic look to it. These are both colors used on other Ford cars, so you can compare the two at a dealership.
I did pay the up-charge for White Platinum, but it was mostly because the car was available while an Oxford White one was not. Its funny though, I've put deposits down on two other cars over the years with similar metallic white paint and for various reasons the deals fell through. This is my first white car and so far I'm liking it.
I'll keep you posted - the car is currently at the Ford dealer's body shop having a paint defect on the bumper repaired. While they were doing paint work on the bumper, I am having them fill the holes left by the selling dealer for an unwanted front license plate

.
After the paint has cured, I will make another attempt to have a clear bra installed. Right now, I've got the hood and passenger fender done which was when the installer noticed that there was a bumper defect and stopped his install. What was done is great looking - full hood with the edges wrapped so no seams. The body shop inspector didn't believe that it had a bra installed on the hood because of the lack of a line and the film is smooth and similar to paint in sheen.
