So its a Lithium-Ion battery pack with 12Volt output, replaces the older type mini lead-acid car battery jumper kits?
I have one of the older larger portable jumper kits but it takes up a lot of space in the back.
What are the exact dimensions of this Lowes unit?

I also found this small Li-Ion car battery jumper starter kit at amazon, a Stanley unit, as low as $55, 11.8 x 7 x 4.3 inches and only 3oz:

I can get the exact dimensions this afternoon, but when the unit is packed in its carrying case, it fits the glove box perfectly and is about 1.5 inches thick, leaving room for other stuff in the glovebox as well
With all the accessory plugs in the vinyl case as well?
Looks like in the case it might fit under one of the front car seats too?

I have never had a problem with the 12V on my FFE, but all this discussion of other FFE owners, Leaf owners and Tesla owners having 12V battery issues had me thinking of a "safety net". I guess it is similar to ordering a Dynaplug kit as soon as I figured out that there was no spare tire :) I was looking at jump start boxes, and they all seemed somewhat bulky. It seems to me like the FFE could be jump-started with a handful of D-cells :) While wandering through Lowes today, this caught my eye!

Here's a link

This seems ideal. Small, light, portable and fits easily in the glovebox, which is easier to get into than the rear hatch if you have a 12V problem.
I bought mine today for $99, but when searching for a link to it I found that it will be marked down to $79 for Black Friday

It seems like a nice addition to my FFE for a little piece of mind. I hope I never have to use in to jump MY car :)

I bought one earlier today at a Lowe's store for the Black Friday special price $79. I think that $20 off price is good for several more days too. They had a bunch on a special display, probably 50 or so.

I tested it out tonight and it seems to charge quick and work well. Besides able to jump-start the car if the 12v battery is too low, it can also power 12v accessories like my emergency tire pump or light. I even tried it with my 150W small inverter and I could then use it to get 120V to power a 32" LCD TV. Also the USB port worked with 2A output to charge my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone at full fast charge speed. Built-in LED light worked fine too. Nice and small even with the battery unit and all the accesssories in the vinyl pack - I can easily fit it under a seat for easy access if I want to leave room in the glove compartment.

Nighthawk, I have a similar product I am testing, and couldn't figure out how to really stress it. Thanks for giving me some options. I keep trying to find a car with a dead battery to jump start. Can't find one anywhere. The inverter is a great idea.

This is probably exactly the same battery on this inside - there is about one Chinese manufacturer that makes all these (even the one at Lowes)

This one is $57 all the time.

Yes I looked at a lot of those other similar models sold on amazon.
However the cheaper models like that one, don't appear to have a separate 12v accessory port output with an outlet for 12v accessories like the Lowe's Pilot model has - thats why I bought that particular one on sale this week at Lowe's.
With that feature I can plug in 12v accessories like an air compressor, air mattress pump, or the 120v inverter, as well as USB accessories and the separate 12v battery jump connectors.

Other models only appear to have the 12v battery jump connector and USB port(s) so they can only be used for charging USB devices like phones and mp3 players in addition to jump starting.
